A Higher Demise – My Therapist Knows You By Name

Have you missed me? I’ve had laryngitis for the past couple of weeks, so thought this video would be pretty appropriate, seeing as I’ve been spending enough time around nurses (although none wielding needles like this!).
A Higher Demise‘s new video for ‘My Therapist Knows You By Name‘ is a stomping mix of screams and melodic verses for any good post-hardcore fan to tune into.

Tonight Alive – The Edge

I hope you haven’t missed me too much in my temporary leave of absence! (I was in Iceland, if you’re interested). Anyway, back to business, here’s one killer track that I missed last week. Aussies Tonight Alive have released the video for ‘The Edge‘, taken from the soundtrack to the new Spiderman film. Its definitely a bigger sound for the group (and hey, it beats Nickelback anyday) so I think you should go check it out now:

Of Mice & Men – Bones Exposed

Hey, its (just about) the weekend! Get ready to switch off that computer, but first, check out Orange County metallers Of Mice & Men taking their new single’s name quite literally in their new video for ‘Bones Exposed‘. And remember kids, no matter how bad your week has been, its nothing compared to what the guy in this clip is going through..

Bones Exposed‘ is taken from the band’s new album, ‘Restoring Force‘, which is out now.

Augustines – Nothing To Lose But Your Head

We’re past the middle of the week, so let’s celebrate with a bit of country rock’n’roll, shall we?
Augustines are from Brooklyn, but sonically they’re more of an upbeat Gaslight Anthem. Well, a little bit more upbeat anyway. ‘Nothing to lose but your head’ is their new single, from their self-titled album which is due out on February 4.

Why not take a breather and have a listen to this..?

New Video From Enter Shikari ‘Rat Race’

So if you’re recovering from a pretty heavy night last night, ‘Rat Race’, the new music video from Enter Shikari probably not what you want to be watching. Two reasons why – firstly, its pretty LOUD, secondly, frontman Rou Reynolds seems to have grown a fairly odd looking beard..

Anyway, massive props to the guys from pushing the boat out on techno / rock / whatever genre you’d like to try and class them as. (I’m gonna be honest with you, halfway through the video I paused it, because I thought it must be playing twice in my browser. It wasn’t. That was just the song..).

Enjoy!

Kids In Glass Houses – Peace

I actually saw Welsh pop-punkers Kids In Glass Houses years and years ago, back when they were supporting Hundred Reasons at the Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth. They were good then, but the years have clearly been kind to them, because they’ve just released the video to this cracking tune.

‘Peace’ is a catchy bit of pop-rock with the band’s trademark energy and a bit of angst thrown in for good measure. Have a listen!

New Music Monday: Bring Me The Horizon ‘Sleepwalking’

Well after the storming ‘Shadow Moses’ video was released a few weeks ago, I’ve been eagerly awaiting more from Bring Me The Horizon‘s new album ‘Sempiternal’, out April 1. Just to show that the last single wasn’t a fluke, they’ve now released the equally chilling ‘Sleepwalking’.

The video is shot in the snow again, raising the question: did they shoot them all on one snowy day? Anyway, its pretty eerie and features the standard ghostly looking girl wandering about while the band perform to disinterested locals in a community centre-esque bar. Oh, and there’s some random shots of barbie dolls.

Track is awesome though.

You can pre-order Sempiternal from the band’s store here.
