Natives – Ghost

New Forest boys Natives have just released a new video for their upcoming single ‘Ghost‘, taken from the band’s debut album ‘Indoor War‘. Channelling the likes of Twin Atlantic and Canterbury, this catchy piece of melodic pop rock will be a great roadtrip soundtrack for the summer. Let’s hope the weather heats up soon!

Hold Your Horse Is – Whistlepig

Its quite a sad one for this Monday, I’m afraid! Not the track itself, the effortlessly catchy ‘Whistlepig‘ by Surrey / Hampshire boys Hold Your Horse Is. Its the fact that this is the last video from the alt-rockers, as they’ve gone the way of many a local hero, calling it a day long before their time. Speaking of bands gone too soon, Reuben’s own Guy Davis makes a nice little appearance here too.

Go on, watch it now..

Heartist – Pressure Point

I feel like we’ve had a lot of indie on here lately, so its definitely time for something a bit more rocky. Lucky for you, I’ve got just the thing, ‘Pressure Point’, the new single from California metallers Heartist.

Watch these boys having some fun with chains in their heavy-hitting new video..

Introducing: Moral Panics

Stoke’s indie favourites Moral Panics certainly have their artistic credentials sorted, with their members doubling as clothing designers, novel writers and film makers. Luckily their other projects hasn’t had a detrimental effect on the band’s sound, with their latest EP ‘WLVS‘ sounding like a cross between early Foals and Swim Deep at their mellowest.

With features on BBC Introducing and support slots with the likes of Dog Is Dead, it looks like 2014 might be the year for these guys to finally break out..

Twin Atlantic – Heart And Soul

It might be a little late for Valentines, but Glaswegian rockers Twin Atlantic are in the mood for romance with their new single ‘Heart And Soul‘. It’s a bit more groove-lead than we’re used to from these boys, but that’s not to say it isn’t a lovely, catchy little piece with lots of feeling too. Plus there’s a trippy video, which is always good..

Jamie Lenman – It’s Hard To Be A Gentleman / All The Things You Hate About Me, I Hate Them Too

Those of you who remember Aldershot trio Reuben will understand that Jamie Lenman has a right to scream. Disappointments with his former band aside though, its good to see him carrying on, releasing ‘It’s Hard To Be A Gentleman..‘ from his soft / heavy debut solo album, ‘Muscle Memory‘.

If you’re not a fan of the country sound, just hang on a couple of minutes. I promise, it’ll be quite different.

It’s Hard To Be A Gentleman / All The Things You Hate About Me, I Hate Them Too‘ is out on April 19. Watch the video below (via Rock Sound).

Tonight Alive – The Edge

I hope you haven’t missed me too much in my temporary leave of absence! (I was in Iceland, if you’re interested). Anyway, back to business, here’s one killer track that I missed last week. Aussies Tonight Alive have released the video for ‘The Edge‘, taken from the soundtrack to the new Spiderman film. Its definitely a bigger sound for the group (and hey, it beats Nickelback anyday) so I think you should go check it out now:
