New Video From Ashestoangels ‘Chase’

So is it a live video, or isn’t it? I guess some bands are better at expressing themselves when they’re performing, rather than acting in a storyline video. It definitely works for Bristol’s Ashestoangels in their new video for ‘Chases’, directed by the amazingly talented Marianne Harris.

Indie Sunday? Yes, I think so..

Is it December already? I haven’t even started Christmas shopping yet. Actually, that’s a lie. I headed over to Oxford Circus yesterday, but couldn’t face the masses of crowds.. Might be another online shopping year. Oh dear..

Anyway, for those of you who are having a nice, chilled out weekend, or like me, need one, here’s a lovely bit of electro-rock tuneage for you. ‘Call Me Up’ is the new single from Manchester rockers Love For Zero. Its due out in March 2014, but  if you can’t wait that long, have a listen to it below..

We Are The Ocean New Video ‘Chin Up’

Well I do love a stripped down video, and this is a pretty good one at that. We Are The Ocean‘s new single ‘Chin Up’ is a lovely acousticy number, with a low-key video to go with. If you’ve ever wanted to watch a band throwing balloons at each other, then this is definitely your cup of tea..

Kids In Glass Houses – Peace

I actually saw Welsh pop-punkers Kids In Glass Houses years and years ago, back when they were supporting Hundred Reasons at the Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth. They were good then, but the years have clearly been kind to them, because they’ve just released the video to this cracking tune.

‘Peace’ is a catchy bit of pop-rock with the band’s trademark energy and a bit of angst thrown in for good measure. Have a listen!

New Music Monday: Empress – ‘Blurred Perception’

I was recommended to listen to prog four piece Empress based on my love of Hell Is For Heroes (favourite band, in case you’re asking..). The band’s new single ‘Blurred Perception’, which is out now, is a little heavier that the London alt-rockers, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t good (just expect a little more screaming!).

New Music Er, Wednesday: Catfish and the Bottlemen

Well if you (unlike me) were lucky enough to go to Reading or Leeds a couple of weeks ago, you might’ve already heard of these guys.. Indie rocksters Catfish and the Bottlemen made an appearance on the BBC Introducing stage over that weekend, but that’s not all. The band’s new single ‘Rango’ has been Zane Lowe’s hottest record (which is never a bad thing!) and is out on September 16.

New Music: Reckless Love – So Happy I Could Die

Isn’t it nice to see a band that don’t take themselves too seriously? With all the pouting, dark stares and angsty videos you see nowadays, its good that there are still some bands out there who just want a bit of fun!

With that, I bring you the new music video from Finland’s Reckless Love, ‘So Happy I Could Die’. Enjoy!

Weekend Tuneage.. Reckless Love ‘Night On Fire’

Well I hope you’ve all had as good a weekend as I have, but its always over way too soon isn’t it? If you’re trying to forget about the impending work tomorrow, here’s the perfect tune to blast out of your speakers and pretend its still Friday night.. ‘Night On Fire’ is the new single from Finnish glam rockers Reckless Love.

Bizarre video, but great stuff..
