A Higher Demise – All These Reasons

Let’s face it, British bands don’t get enough recognition, even on their own turf. Battling it out with rock giants coming over the Atlantic is a pretty tough thing to face. Twenty One Pilots: Ode To Sleep

Oops, it’s been a while, hasn’t it? I’ve been busy moving house and generally out in London getting into that Christmas spirit. Anyway, back to the usual routine, here’s a great new tune for you!

It’s not many artists that would put so much faith on their future careers that they would film a gig in their early days, playing to just twelve people. It’s an even more brave artist that would then use that footage in a music video once they’ve found success. Still, Twenty One Pilots don’t do things the usual way.

Here’s their almost-documentary-like video for ‘Ode To Sleep‘:

Circle Of Reason – Silver Screen

It seems the Brit-melodic-rock scene is alive and well these days. For those of you who don’t know their way around it yet, here’s a little taster for you. Southampton’s Circle Of Reason have been releasing a free track to download each month, taken from their back catalogue.
This month’s offering is ‘Silver Screen‘, taking elements from the alt-rockers of the 00s (think Smashing Pumpkins / early QOTSA). If you like what you see below, you can download it here.
