Crown The Empire – Bloodline

Did everyone have a good Halloween? I was out rocking my 15 year-old self’s battered goth boots and fishnets (both felt surprisingly comfy) and generally screaming the house down with some low-budget horror flicks.

Moving on, here’s a new tune that’ll rock your stripey socks off, the furiously relentless ‘Bloodline’ from Texan metalcore quartet Crown The Empire. The track is taken from the band’s second album ‘The Resistance: Rise of the Runaways‘.

A Higher Demise – My Therapist Knows You By Name

Have you missed me? I’ve had laryngitis for the past couple of weeks, so thought this video would be pretty appropriate, seeing as I’ve been spending enough time around nurses (although none wielding needles like this!).
A Higher Demise‘s new video for ‘My Therapist Knows You By Name‘ is a stomping mix of screams and melodic verses for any good post-hardcore fan to tune into.

BlackWolf – Moving Mountains

Happy Monday all! If you’re not recovering from Glasto (anyone see Metallica? I didn’t..), there’s a top rock tunes here up for your listening pleasure. Bristol’s rock’n’roll enthusiasts BlackWolf have already been picked as a track of the week from Classic Rock, in the same issue as their fellow blues-tinged-rockers Rival Sons. If that isn’t enough to convince you, they’ve been hitting the road with the likes of The Answer, and have a show lined up in Bristol next month with (one of my personal favourites) Reckless Love.

Still not enough? Have a listen to this..

Introducing: MOVIE

Blurring the lines between the art-rock tendencies of Franz Ferdinand and the upbeat catchiness of Vampire Weekend, Brit-pop band MOVIE have certainly put their art college years to good use with their striking new video for ‘Ads‘. The band have already picked up some great support from Radio 1, 6music and XFM, with their single launch party hitting London’s Old Blue Last this Wednesday.

It’s probably not the time to start thinking about sharks, what with summer coming and everything (I joke, summer is months away..), but this was too funny to miss out. Atlanta metalcore quintet Norma Jean have released their brand new video for ‘Sword In Mouth, Fire Eyes‘, taken from the band’s sixth studio album ‘Wrongdoers‘, released last year.

Remember folks, sharks need love too..
