Well who hasn’t felt left out at some point in their lives eh? I know I have! (If you haven’t you’re extremely lucky..). It’s nice to see the issue being addressed by Aussies Tonight Alive in their new music video for ‘Lonely Girl’.
We all love a bit of indie don’t we? I definitely love this. Chvrches (pronounced ‘churches’) are a Scottish three pieces with voices like angels and lyrics like daggers. This is a brilliant bit of synthy indie pop that’ll hopefully brighten up your week!
Who didn’t love a bit of Papa Roach back in the day? (Or now actually, seeing as they’re still going..) ‘To Be Loved’ is definitely a good’un for a night out. Play it now. Play it loud!
So AFI have carried on with the single releases, one after the other.. We had ‘I Hope You Suffer’ just the other week and now they’ve put the track for ’17 Crimes’ out. Its an interesting way of building up to the album I guess? I wonder if we’ll have all the tracks out by the release date for ‘Burials’?
Anyway, this one’s still not convinced me to pre-order the album (out October 22nd) yet, but I’m sure I’ll get around to it..
Have to say, I’ve loved Placebo a long time. ‘Too Many Friends’ may not quite live up to the band’s previous work (in my opinion, anyway), but that’s not to say the new album won’t be great!
According to the band’s facebook, there’s something new coming on Tuesday..
So if you, like me, missed out on Asking Alexandria at Brixton Academy in January (in my defence, I was stranded at home because of the snow!), you can see exactly what an amazing show it was in their new video for ‘Run Free’, filmed live at the gig. To be honest, there’s a few too many up-the-guitar shots for my liking, but other than that, it looks pretty epic:
I know I basically covered this before with the lyric video, but every new AFI video is a must-watch really. This one’s a suitabley moody affair, complete with lots of dark eye contact, drawn faces and screaming from mr Davey Havok himself. If you’re a fan, you’ll probably love this already. If you’re not, you clearly haven’t listened to them enough.
Well I hope you’ve all had as good a weekend as I have, but its always over way too soon isn’t it? If you’re trying to forget about the impending work tomorrow, here’s the perfect tune to blast out of your speakers and pretend its still Friday night.. ‘Night On Fire’ is the new single from Finnish glam rockers Reckless Love.
So you’re probably getting a bit sick of band documentaries now right? Endless shots of them on the road, staring thoughtfully out of windows, talking about how much they love the fans etc etc etc..? Well, lucky for you it doesn’t look like this Metallica film will be heading down that route.
Admittedly, it looks a little cheesy, but also EPIC. I don’t care what you think, I’m going to see ‘Through The Never’:
So while I was having a lovely long birthday weekend (it was great, thanks for asking..) it seems I missed out on something pretty important! After a couple of months of ring-esque teaser videos, the amazing AFI have finally released a stream of their new single ‘I Hope You Suffer’.
As always with AFI, its never going to be ‘Sing The Sorrow’ all over again. (Which was, in my opinion, a pretty perfect album from the band). However, it sound like the band are steering back towards their heavier sound which always carried more passion and impact than the slightly more celebrity-focused releases of late..
