Today loves, I’m writing to you whilst sipping lemsip and shivering under the covers. I’m hoping it’s not that dreaded norovirus, but in the meantime, here’s some music for you to enjoy.
Night By Night are tipped to be the next big thing in British metal, with their debut album due out later this year. You can get a quick taster of their sound with a free download available on they’re website here.
Firstly, I hope everyone isn’t feeling too rough today! If you’ve managed to get out of bed, here’s a treat for you – a new video from the master of electro-noir, William Control (aka Wil Francis of Aiden).
‘Speak To Me Of Abduction’ features on the credits of his ‘Live in London Town’ DVD, released last year.
You can catch Wil on tour with Black Veil Brides this spring in the UK and US. Dates on his facebook page here.
If you haven’t spent all your Christmas money yet (and why not, if you read my pick of the sales yesterday?), you may want to hold onto that as I’ve got a list of some of the best music coming your way in 2013. Carefully researched (read: I googled the bands I like), here’s some new albums that are worth waiting for.
Before I get too Christmas obsessed (and believe me, I’m getting there), here’s a nice sunny video so we can all pretend its not the shortest day of the year. Major points go to Deaf Havana for this bit of fun (and its refreshing to see a band that aren’t from London). Who doesn’t wish they were at the beach in July after watching this?
I can’t say I’ve listened to Dead Havana too much before I heard this song, but having done a bit of research, I’d definitely recommend checking them out. If you like this, look up ‘Little White Lies’ and go from there.. RC xx
I’m a real sucker for a music video with a storyline, so I loved this new one from Greenday straight away. ‘Stray Heart’ is pop-punk at its best, upbeat with an angsty core. Its from ¡Dos!, part of the band’s ‘Uno, Dos, Tre’ series.
For those of you who are interested, I went to see the Greenday musical, ‘American Idiot’ last weekend – read about it here.
Today’s instalment of new music comes from Cheshire’s own Blitz Kids, with this catchy bit of stadium influenced rock (think a gritty version of 30 Seconds to Mars) ‘Never Die’.
The band have made a name for themselves through supporting the likes of We Are The Ocean and have just released their new mini-album ‘Never Die‘.
